I am a PhD student at the Institute for Quantum Computing and the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Waterloo. My research focuses on the fundamental physics of quantum many-body systems, particularly in exploring thermalization, ergodicity, chaos, recurrences, and information scrambling in non-equilibrium system. I am also deeply interested in how these phenomena intersect with quantum information science, especially for applications in metrology, sensing, and scalable quantum computing.
I completed my MSc in Physics at the Institute for Quantum Computing in 2023, where I worked under the supervision of Prof. Shohini Ghose and Prof. Robert Mann on my thesis titled “Dynamical stability and chaos in closed kicked systems”.
Prior to that, I earned my BTech in Mechanical Engineering from IIEST Shibpur, Kolkata, in 2021 and gained early research experience as a summer student at IISER Kolkata. Alongside my research, I am committed to teaching, outreach, and fostering an inclusive academic community.
